I'm Still Here
This past month, the California state supreme court ruled that a federal ban on same sex marriage was unconstitutional. The ruling opened the doors for hundreds of same sex marriages. The ruling and subsequent ceremonies makes this Gay Pride Month especially poignant.
Yet, for many queer communities, pride is about much more than judicial rulings. It's about creating a sense of home despite the potential alienation from community. For many queer youth of color, the art of voguing provides a supportive and celebratory space. The following video is a tribute to that ceaseless spirit.
