One of the legal cases that always seems to spark the most interest are the legal cases surrounding the death sentence. As long as the death sentence continues to be a resource for capital punishment, you will continue to see these legal cases arise debating the prospect. Many form very distinct opinions of those legal cases where the death sentence is offered as the mode of punishment, and there is just as much talk surrounding the legal cases that do not offer the death penalty in those legal cases to which the state permits this type of sentencing. When it comes to legal cases that involve the death penalty, people are very passionate about the opinions that they take on. This type of legal case stirs up a high level of response from those that are directly within the legal community, but this type of legal case also stirs up a huge response from the court of public opinion, as well. Thus, these legal cases will always find their way to the airwaves of the news sources. These are the types of legal cases that will always be discussed among those that have formed an opinion about the death penalty one way or another. What we all come to realize is that opinion or not of these legal cases, the court ultimately is going to have the final say.

1. The legal case involving the death penalty that has received some of the most coverage recently is the legal case of Troy, Alabama. The legal case first opened in the alleged murder of Ruby Lois Gosha, and the accused murder suspect being the ex-boyfriend of the woman. Ruby Lois Gosha was shot and killed in her sleep in the year of 1993. The ex-boyfriend that was accused in the brutal shooting death of Gosha, as she lie sleeping, was a man by the name of Holly Wood. Ultimately, it was reported that Holly Wood was formally convicted in the legal case, and was sentenced to the death penalty.

2. The legal case further unfolded because the court had found out that Holly Wood was mentally impaired. The Supreme Court had not issued the death sentence for Wood on the basis of his mental state for many years. This is because in the initial legal case concerning the murder, the defense had not made mention to the jurors in the court, the fact that Wood had scored an IQ of less than 70, which by the standards, classifies him as mentally impaired. Nevertheless, the 11the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had reinstated the legal case to re-evaluate the death sentence in the case. The Supreme Court has decided that they will once again permit the death penalty for Holly Wood.

There has not been a legal article that has been written about the recent case surrounding Rip Torn that has not caught the attention of its readers. This is one of those legal articles that many were waiting to follow up on. When people first got wind of the first legal article that has first started this tirade if public interest, they could not wait to see the legal article that would appear next. Legal articles such as these do not come around every day, but when legal articles such as these do surface, you better believe that these type of legal articles are the ones that will have everyone talking. When there are legal articles that are released about celebrities and their legal troubles, it is bound to be a topic of interest. These type of legal articles are often found to be most popular because it is not every day that there we witness huge entertainers get into a high extent of legal trouble of this stature. Well, that seems to be the basis of the legal article that has most recently featured Rip Torn. Rip Torn is an Emmy-award winning actor with a long history in the entertainment business as an actor. Some of the television shows and films that he is most noted for his work, is his appearance on the show, ‘The Larry Sanders Show,’ ‘Easy Rider,’ ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth,’ and ‘Men in Black II.’ Rip Torn has been featured in a legal article or two in his past, but many were surprised to find him in one of those legal articles that contain such astonishing charges.

1. The initial legal articles had stated that Rip Torn had been taken into police custody due to the allegations that he was named as the suspect in a bank break in. The legal articles stated that Torn was said to have been carrying a loaded firearm at the time that he had committed the Salisbury, Connecticut bank break in. The legal articles said that he was found and arrested in the Litchfield Bancorp location. The legal articles stated that the 78 year old actor was being held on a $100,000 bond. Torn has been reported to have had other run ins with the law by way of drunk driving violations, one of which he is currently on probation for, but nothing that exactly resembles the new alleged charges.

2. The following legal article alleges that the attorneys for Rip Torn state that he was drunk at the time of the break in, and that Torn had actually thought that the Connecticut bank was his home. The next legal article had stated that Torn was to report to court for the case as soon as this month. Nevertheless, the latest legal article states that Torn’s court appearance has been rescheduled due to scheduling conflicts. The legal article goes on to say that his court appearance has been rescheduled to be next month on the date of March 9th.
